I am not sure what is more fun, decorating for fall or wearing all the fall clothes. I guess it depends on who you are!
I was sitting in my local coffee shop a few weeks ago when this lady, who reminded me of myself, leaned over my shoulder and said, "who are you? I haven't seen you in here before." I told her my name and with in minutes we were sitting at a table discussing and planning!

We will be bringing you a couple different fall ideas! Our first one is the contrast of black and white!
Black and White
Black and white, the first original colors. Black has always been. It has never been created because it was here at the beginning. Genesis 1:2 The Earth was without form and void, and the darkness (the color black) was over the face of the deep. White, the color that represents light that God created to see. Genesis 1:3 Let there be light, and there was light.
Jacklyn has done a great job of showing the sharp contrast of black and white with the cute spiders against the white wall. The best thing about black and white is that you can add almost any color to them and it looks great!
Black is definitely one of my favorite colors in clothing. It gives a slimming look and it can also be very elegant. Black can wrap up an outfit like a bow. It is said that you can't wear two different shades of black, I disagree. I am seeing a lot more of a darker black top with a lighter shade black pant.
One of the easiest ways to wear black and white is to pair a black top with white bottoms. This is such a classic and timeless look. There are endless possibilities with a black top and white pant.
Sweater; from Walmart $15; Hat, on the go Cabbie, White Jeans, from TJ Maxx, (not sold on line) I have linked some from Amazon.; Tan wedges from Amazon.
Reverse the look! Wear a white top with black bottoms. If you keep the top and bottom all the same texture, it could look like a uniform, uh oh! Add some flare, pattern or different texture to the white top and it completely changes the look. I added a faux leather moto jacket to my white top to give this look some edge. (Where's my Harley? hehehe)
Faux leather jacket:$49 size up one for layering; White tee: $5 H&M; Black jeans $16 from Walmart; Black wedge sneakers $34
I love how Jacklyn designed this simple and cute bat chandelier! She added another pop of fall color behind it with the burnt orange wreath! Head on over to Jacklyn's blog, Ohbygolly, to see more on how she decorates with black and white.
One black item can usually be very versatile. You can dress it up or dress it down. In the left photo I used this sweater for a casual look. Throw on some yoga pants, hat and sneakers and you are ready to go. On the right, I added a pair of distressed jeans and some leopard booties to make this a fun night out look.
Zyia Hat, $18; Sweater, $15 Walmart; Black leggings, $22 Amazon; Black sneakers $60, Amazon; Black distressed jeans, (I made these); Snake skin booties (Sold out from original retailer, but I have linked some very similar)
There are endless possibilities when it comes to decorating with and wearing black and white. How do you like to wear it? Or, how do you decorate with it??
